The Maralin Herd was formed in 1989, and has been kept as a commercial
enterprise since then, with regular customers returning regularily
for bulls and females.
Cattle have been shown at the Highland Show, where Maralin Charmer
was Reserve Junior Champion in 2003, and at which he was sold privately
to a Scottish Herd.
Maralin Beef Shorthorns is owned by Lucy & Kate Mc William,
who at 3 and 1 years old respectively must be some of the youngest
breeder’s around.
Chapelton Neptune is the herd’s Stock Bull. He was Champion
at the Royal Show, and is one of the best examples of the breed
ever shown. His first crop of calves in the Maralin herd are promising.
Females are available for sale.
